HTC Plan New Quest Pro Challenger. The rumour mill suggests that a new flagship AR/VR headset will be announced next month, with limited details suggesting that the device will reintroduce HTC to the consumer VR market. The headset was originally teased by HTC in a series of cryptic tweets in October.
Celebrities Facing Bored Ape Lawsuit. A long list of stars, including Justin Bieber, Madonna, and Snoop Dogg will be defendants in a court case against Yuga Labs Inc. The creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT Collection are facing charges including unfair competition violations, civil conspiracy, and aiding and abetting.
Meta Offer Hackers $45,000. The company have announced new guidelines for its bug bounty program, with 'security researchers' being offered sums to identify vulnerabilities within the Quest Pro headset and Touch Pro Controllers (amongst other Quest VR and hardware products).
Futureverse Announce Expansive Metaverse Ecosystem. The New Zealand based organisation have merged eight Web3 companies into one singular company in an attempt to create a new, collaborative, open metaverse ecosystem. The goal of the project is to improve web3 and open metaverse experiences.
In Funding
Infinite Reality Announce Public Plans. The metaverse facilitators will go public through an SPAC, or Special purpose Acquisition Company, with plans to raise at least $128 million against a valuation of $1.85 billion.
Public Pressure Raise $6 million. The Web3 music platform announced the funding hot off the back of taking $2 million from its first music and gaming NFT project within a few days of release.
Anima protocol takes $3 million. The raise came as a result of new interest from a long list of funding groups, with the technology allowing for digital ownership of augmented reality entities.

Hyped UK 'Military Metaverse' Company Scale Back. 'Improbable' looked to offer have announced that they will scale back their defence business in a move that may make more than 10% of a 950 person workforce redundant. l. The move to shut down was inspired by challenging macroeconomic conditions.
Warner Music Group Partner with DressX. The move is another strong step into the metaverse from Warner, with artists given the opportunity to create digital wearables and merchandise for fans.
Users at Risk of Identity Theft in Metaverse. In an interview, former architect of Windows Defender Andrew Newman highlighted his concerns over the theft of digital identity, personal information and virtual assets in the Metaverse.
RendezVerse launch new RV360 tool. The new technology aims to create photorealistic metaverse environments that hospitality venues, like hotels, can use to demonstrate spaces to potential customers.
